Tournament Convenor – Volunteer Position

Looking for an individual to commit to running the LDGHA tournament for a minimum of 2-3 seasons. The planning cycle for the annual tournament commences in late July and runs through till the end of February on an annual basis. The successful incumbent will have strong leadership and project management skills, have knowledge of girls hockey (as it pertains to ice scheduling, OWHA rules and previous tournament experience). In addition, the candidate will be technically savvy with strong MS Office Outlook, Word and Excel skills. This is a non-board position (but is provided guidance from the board) and for the February 2011 tournament the incumbent will work closely with the two existing co-convenors with the intent to transition fully for the February 2012 tournament.
